Affiliate disclosure

Required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and something we would publish anyway.

The short version. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a commission from the retailer or manufacturer. You never pay more because of it.

Which programs we participate in

[PREENCHER conforme as aprovações saírem — nomear cada programa de afiliados em que o site participa. Manter atualizado; remover programas encerrados.]

What a commission does not buy

  • It does not buy a verdict. Commission rates play no part in whether a tool is recommended. We have advised readers against products we would have earned from.
  • It does not buy placement. Nothing appears higher in a comparison because it pays more.
  • It does not buy silence. Flaws are published whether or not the manufacturer runs an affiliate program.
  • It does not buy pre-approval. No brand, agency or affiliate manager reads a review before it goes live.

Where the disclosure appears

Every page containing affiliate links carries a visible disclosure before the first link — not hidden in a footer, not collapsed behind a toggle, not set in grey type at the bottom of the page. If you can read the recommendation, you can read the disclosure.

How the equipment is obtained

We buy the tools we test, or source them independently. We do not accept free review units given in exchange for coverage. If a tool ever reaches us any other way, that fact appears in the opening paragraph of the review itself.

Sponsored content

We do not publish sponsored posts, paid guest articles, paid link insertions, or "partner content" formatted to resemble editorial. Should that policy ever change, the change will be announced here before any such content is published.
